Sport’n Style: Onzie

Since I got a place confirmed for the London Duathlon in September I have tried to hit up a spin class at least once per week in addition to any cycle commuting I can fit in!

well hello 🙂

I chose some kit from the Onzie website which I thought looked great and would suit my needs. Their kit is made to sweat in…just what I planned on doing!

this postcard came with my kit 🙂 sums up life perfectly!

I picked out…

…Elastic Back Tank
…Full Coverage Short

shorts and tank

…Track Legging

I hit up a spin class a couple weeks ago to try out the shorts and tank, but I was ridiculously late for class and had no time after to take any pictures. Perfect excuse, and motivation to head to class again, huh?! So I booked Alicia and myself into a class at Psycle London, post Geneva Marathon Weekend, to get our legs moving again!

ready to rock and spin 🙂

Why I Love These – I absolutely loved the length of the shorts! I grew up in the days when cycling shorts (cut just above the knees) were fashionable so it’s still hard for me to accept booty shorts! The colours in the shorts were nicely picked up by the pop of colour on the back of the tank top. The tank was a loose fit…I barely noticed I was wearing it during class. I thought it would get heavy with sweat but it dried quick enough to not weigh me down. The shorts rode up a little but that was more due to the repetitive sit…stand…sit…stand stuff we were doing! My thighs and butt hated that….the shorts hated that…but we survived. I have also been blessed / cursed* (*delete according to your own beliefs) with thighs that rub together…but the shorts are made of a material that hasn’t bobbled…so hopefully won’t wear away and disintegrate into nothingness!

I wish I had a prettier bra to show off under the tank though! A strappy, colourful number would have made this outfit! …and maybe some cuter socks?!

I wore the Track Leggings for actual cycling – I rode into the centre of town (about 4 – 6 miles), took a reformer pilates class then rode home. While locking my bike up, I lent my knee on the ground and almost cried when I saw a dirt smudge on the coral part of the leggings but they washed really well and no stains are evident (which is more than I can say for some of my other kit!).

No wet, sweaty kit two hours post workout…no smelly kit two hours post workout. I think that is known as winning! I can also wear these pieces for hot yoga (not the leggings obviously!) and running! So yay to some crazy legging patterns (check out their website for the new stuff thats just landed!) and yay to flattering, flexible and functional clothing!

Have you worn Onzie before?! …who’s your current brand crush?!

Elle 🙂

p.s This is NOT a sponsored post; I was provided with the products to test…but all opinions are my own 🙂

I am so in love with them! need to get me a plain black pair so it's less obvious when I wear them all the time! haha! 🙂

The lady infront of me in yoga today had some beautiful Onzie legginings. Did your stuff come from US? I've just seen their $27 shipping to the UK 🙁
