At the start of the year, I shared with you my word for 2015 – CONFIDENCE.
I also shared with you my word for February – FOCUS, my word for January was INTEGRITY, for March it was BELIEVE and BALANCE for April.
Well now, May is here and after some thought, I have a word for these 30 days – EXPERIENCE.
May | Experience
This is what EXPERIENCE will look like for me in regards to Health & Fitness this month:
Health | Enjoy my training for what it is. Enjoy events that I participate in. Focus on the experience rather than times and statistics.
I read a book called Stuffocation last month which inspired to stop spending money on “things” and to spend money on experiences that I can enjoy. I remember being in Ibiza last year and watching a family filming their time on the beach; none of it was authentic. I thought to myself, when they watch this back, it won’t even be special as it was all “for the camera”. I realised how much time we spend curating our lives for social media and to document it for after so we could “look back” rather than enjoying the moment for what it is. So that’s what my May 2015 is all about; enjoying each moment for what it is.

I still have game changers though and my Passion Planner helps keep me on track. For May, its all about completing my Super Sprint Triathlon, Hackney Half Marathon, eating well and adding the finishing touches to my home (as you’ve seen in Behind The Screen) ready for the summer!
I’m back in my blogging rhythm and ready to take it to the next level; I got my hands on the Daily Greatness Business Planner and am excited to see what I can achieve.
April really did help me to find balance. I’m sleeping well, eating well and balancing my time between training and chilling at home.
