At the start of the year, I shared with you my word for 2015 – CONFIDENCE.

I also shared with you my word for February – FOCUS, my word for January was INTEGRITY,  for March it was BELIEVEBALANCE for April and EXPERIENCE in May.

Well now, June is here and after some thought, I have a word for these 30 days – POSSIBILITY.


June | Possibility

This is what POSSIBILITY will look like for me in regards to Health & Fitness this month:

Health | The possibilities of what I can achieve in swimming; for the #getspeedofit challenge body transformation; in my triathlon. The possibilities that come from eating well; exercising regularly and recovering properly.


This month, I’ve been reading The Happiness Advantage. It seems that many of the books I read overlap in some areas which is great; makes me feel more confident in what they are saying. This book focuses on the relationship between happiness and success – it discusses how success comes from happiness rather than the other way round. It tells us how knowledge by itself isn’t always enough of a catalyst for change. How many times do we say we should eat well? We know we should eat well but we still don’t fully commit.

I know that I need to practice my swimming. We all know practice makes perfect. Today when I was teaching, I noticed one of my clients seemed unwell. I said to him he shouldn’t be training when he was under the weather and he responded to say “there’s always an excuse not to train”. So true. I could always think of a reason not to go swimming; I’m too hungry, can’t be bothered to pack my kit, don’t have time, the pool is too far, I’m too tired…

I’m still loving my Passion Planner which helps keep me on track with all my goals. I need to sit down in the next day or so and reflect on May and fully plan my goals for June. I already know what my game changers will be for the month though; its all about completing my Sprint Triathlon, Nike Women’s 10km race, eating well, following through on my blogging goals and adding the finishing touches to my home!

May was definitely what I set out for it to be – jam packed with experiences! Run Hackney Half Marathon, Le Tour de Teisseire, Whole30, #getspeedofit, my first triathlon …the list goes on!

    I love your theme words for the month, they are fantastic, and inspirational. Gosh I can't pick just one word. commit, believe, achieve, challenge. They are the words I would choose, but one yeah I'd have to think about it some more.

      Thanks Matilda! It isn't easy picking one word, but it somehow just comes to me! haha! It all feeds into my word for the year too and I still use words from previous months for inspiration! I'm still loving EXPERIENCE!
