Last week, i joined the biggest room full of bloggers that I have seen in a while for the #CurrysIntroJuicing event – an evening of smoothie making, nutritional advice and a body conditioning class to celebrate the launch of the new range of Philips Juicers.
The evening began with a nutrition presentation from Derry Temple who works at Urban Kings gym, next door to our venue.
Here are some of the nutritional nuggets I picked out of Derry’s presentation:
Following Derry’s presentation we had the chance to make some recovery juices with the Phillips juicers. I used some apple, pineapple, carrot, cucumber, ginger, lime and beetroot.
Before we devoured our juices though, we headed over to the gym for our body conditioning workout.
The workout was 3 rounds of –
- Lunges x10
- Burpees x10
- Squats with shoulder press x10
- Box step ups x10
- Squat with clean x10
- Press ups x10
- Air Squats x10
- Lateral bench jumps x10
- Ladder runs x10
