It seems that it’s not just a New Year, it’s a new “You” and a New Nike Training Club (NTC) App. 2014 has seen an awesome update to the app which is now known as the N+TC app and its all about getting #NTCFit!

But there is more to add to the equation.
If there is one word I love, it’d be COMMUNITY.
I’ve been a part of the Nike Training Club (NTC) Community for a number of years now – I participated in live classes, teach the live classes and use the NTC app on my iPod whenever I am unable to hit up a class.
Nike have created the Nike Community Forum for all us N+TC fans to hook up, share motivation, achievements and training. I was lucky enough to be invited to be a ‘Captain’ on this platform for being an active member of the community. There are also areas for Nike Fuel goals and Running goals…so something for everyone!
Talking of Nike Fuel, they recently relaunched the FuelBand as the FuelBand SE. I was lucky enough to receive one from the @NikeFuel team over on Twitter and have been spending the last few weeks getting used to it.

Unfortunately, I only have an iPhone 4 and the updated NikeFuel app only works on the latest versions of iPhone. This probably is a good thing though – it means I don’t check my phone every five minutes and my FuelBand battery isn’t drained being constantly connected to the bluetooth. I do feel I am missing out a little though…

There are now also ‘sessions’…you start a session say, at the beginning of a yoga class, and then end it when you are done. You can tag that session with the activity you did and for some activities you are able to change the intensity to reflect what you actually did which may not have been accurately recorded by the FuelBand due to only being on your wrist i.e cycling (hooray) and yoga.
The Nike+ Running app also saw an update not too long ago which allowed you to start challenges with friends!
I’m already busy doing a Yoga Challenge in January but I will try and follow the N+TC programme for February. Until then I’ll still attend the live classes as I love the camaraderie of all the other participants!

I just tried the Ultimate Hollywood workout on the new N+TC app……wow! it is definitely a workout and a half and I managed to rack up near 1000 fuel points in that 45 min session. I'm looking forward to getting back to my usual NTC classes and using the app!www.thatgoodgirlchi.blogspot.co.uk
