So you know that over here on keepitsimpElle, we’re all about Motivation, Inspiration and Empowerment right?! Well, when an email landed in my inbox about a project that was around “empowering women across the world through the Universal question “what do you see when you look in the mirror?”” I just had to be involved!

But then it started to dawn on me, that this one little question had so many answers! It meant that I had to stop and think as opposed to not taking the time to notice. It meant I had to find an answer.

…and if I’m totally honest (which I always am) I’m a little apprehensive about watching my own video! They caught me at a very transitional time in my life, a time that did really call for reflection.
I took my interpretation of the question from a health and fitness angle. So what I see in the mirror that relates to why I am active, why I teach and why I even started / have this blog. My video was short and sweet…and after I recorded it, I thought of a million ore things I wanted to say! …But you get to hear from me all the time so hopefully over time, my messages will come through…
As we are all in this together, it’s my pleasure to ‘pass the baton’ to Liz at http://lizsdeafblog.blogspot.co.nz …In Liz’s own words she says her blog covers “deaf issues …and some non deaf stuff…” so pop on over and say hi now or stay tuned for her own personal contribution tomorrow as part of the project.

Chilled out morning routine, followed by training clients online before checking in on emails. A lunchtime walk is great post lunch to reset and regain focus for the rest of the day. Then to end my day with some Yin yoga is my idea of the perfect day.

Hi Elle, and thank you for passing the baton over to me. I too have found after I filmed myself asking the same question, what do I see when I look in the mirror, to find it of some benefit. I did not expect to feel liberated after I did it. It also helped I feel with new journey of discovery and healing too.

Yes it was lovely to meet you too virtually. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the launch day. It wasn't enough notice for me to put a couple of days off from work. I have bookmarked your blog, as I intend to come back and read more.
