Loughton Running Meet Ups
Our Loughton Running Club is a casual, relaxed and inclusive meet up! We currently meet at Roding Valley Recreation Ground, by the Tennis courts on Wednesday evenings at 7pm and Sunday mornings at 10am. Here’s a pin on Google Maps. This is subject to change, so drop your email below to be kept up to date.
Roding Valley Recreation Ground is mostly grass with some pavements and even has a grass running track which we sometimes use. It’s also pretty flat!
Your Coach – Elle
And, incase you’re wondering who I even am, I’m Elle and I live in Loughton too. I’m a Fitness Professional, Cycling Coach and also a Coach for adidas Runners in London (hence why sessions may switch every now and again)… and I try to be a regular at our local parkrun at Roding Valley Recreation Ground on Saturdays to help me keep consistent, as I’m a serial re-starter runner, but I own that and am proud of it tbh.
The sessions are free, I’m not looking to sell you anything, I’m just keen to keep my own running consistent (accountability is key), and spend some time in our community. And please don’t think you’re not fit enough… the sessions are suitable for everyone.
Weds @ 7:00pm | Sun @ 10:00am

The more the merrier! And if said person want’s to be kept up to date, forward them this email and they can add their info here or in the form above.
So the sessions will be time based rather than distance, so you do what you can in the time, if that makes sense? We’ll be out for max 1 hour which will include meeting, warm up, the main session and cool down.
Whether your goal is to start running, return to running, to run a 5k / 10k or half marathon… there’s a place for every pace.
If you’ve ever done C25K, you’ll know it isn’t exactly the best format, especially for in a group. I do however encourage you to download the app, and do the C25K runs in between our sessions. You don’t have to follow the exact timeline they prescribe, but you’ll end up stronger, faster and fitter than doing C25K alone. Because running loves consistency.
I’m sure once we meet, you’ll find someone who you can meet between sessions for a little more accountability to do the C25K sessions (should you choose).
I promise you have nothing to worry about, and nor are you alone. This video – https://www.instagram.com/reel… – was me returning back to run club a few weeks ago 😅 Feel the fear, and do it anyway.
Water, and appropriate layers. You might wanna peel off a layer after warming up (… you might not!). If it’s windy, a windproof jacket, if it’s a bit drizzly, then a raincoat. No such thing as bad weather…
You sure can! Feel free to join whenever suits you. I’ll send all info out via this mailing list. You can also unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of the email. I won’t be offended lol
Any other questions you have just reply to any of my emails, or get in touch via my Contact Page.
