I haven’t always been a fan of the holidays and the whole holiday season vibe, but once I decided I was gonna make it my own, I’ve loved every minute of building traditions, enjoying time with family and having the opportunity to rest. One tradition I’ve leaned into is a Christmas themed indoor ride each December full of holiday songs, but with a difference.
The holiday season can be a funny one for training. Schedules go out the window, motivation wobbles, and suddenly you’ve got very little time but still want your workouts to feel good. This year though, class numbers have been pretty good considering I teach weekday lunchtimes.
Christmas Eve was 75% capacity and New Years Eve is sold out (at the time of writing this; other instructors will know the rollercoaster of class numbers lol).
Christmas Songs For Indoor Cycling Playlist
This is the playlist I use to plan my festive classes and at-home holiday rides, and I add to it each season so it stays fresh. Save it once, come back every year.
It’s full of remixes, dance edits and mash-ups, so even familiar tracks like Jingle Bells or Run Rudolph Run suddenly make sense on the bike.
How I Use This Playlist In My Christmas Rides
I use this playlist as a library of song ideas I can pull from depending on the class length, the group, and the vibe.
I’ve most been teaching 45min classes so I’ll usually mix sustained efforts with harder blocks and finish with something punchy for the final push.

Because the playlist is constantly evolving, I can build a holiday ride quickly without starting from scratch every December.
Here’s the Christmas playlist I used for 2024 – 2025, and here’s my slightly tweaked for 2025 version.
Why I Keep Updating It Each Year
Music changes. Remixes improve. The Spotify app keeps serving up new edits (and removing some) that are genuinely good.
Rather than creating a new playlist every year, I keep building on this one. That way, you always get the newest additions and older tracks that still work stay in rotation
It’s the same way I approach training; small tweaks, consistency, and no unnecessary faff.

If you want a holiday playlist that brings the best vibes, this one’s been tried and tested.
Save it, use it, and check back each holiday season to see what’s new.
Because Christmas workouts don’t need gimmicks — they just need good music and a bike that doesn’t judge you.
Merry Christmas,
Elle
