Was sat on a bus one day, not moving cos someone d Was sat on a bus one day, not moving cos someone didn’t wanna pay so the driver turned off the engine and called the police. I sat looking out the window as umpteen cyclists rode past and thought, maybe they’re onto something 🤔 I started with a run commute for the 5km distance then bought my first (adult) bike. I’d not ridden a bike since I was about 13 😅 One day @anneleenbosma asked if I wanted to go ride some laps in Richmond Park and whilst I didn’t really understand the point at the time, I was sold on getting to eat cake during the ride. And as they say, the rest is history. Despite seeing very few people that looked like me in the sport (at the time - I’m 41yo now y’all) I jumped in, feet first and never looked back. I’ve had some AMAZING opportunities through cycling and there’s not enough space to tag all the people, brands or organisations involved 🥹 but they’ve been there whilst I’ve qualified as a Ride Leader, Road & Cyclocross Coach and built my own little communities. So many people asked me how I became a @livcyclinguk ambassador that I wrote about it on my blog 🤪 but the crux of it always is to be yourself, find your own adventures and if a brand wants to come along for the ‘ride’ that’s a bonus, not the be all, end all 🫡 #livcommitted #ukcyclechat #representationmatters

The maths doesn’t math when your max heart rate is The maths doesn’t math when your max heart rate is supposed to be 220-(your age) 🤪😅 …am I ☠️ or…?! 👀 let’s just say I’m not 18yo lol A few us hit the road today for some Halloween Hills 🎃 the goal was to climb Mott Street (IYKYK) and see if we wanted to do it again. First time up, swore blind I wouldn’t do it a second time.
