Way back in 2014 was when I discovered Chia seeds, chia pudding recipes, how easy they are to make and how packed with nutrients they are. So if you’re wondering how to make chia pudding, the recipe is super simple, and I have it here!
What Are Chia Seeds?
Chia seeds are potent little bundles of energy with generous doses of omega-3 and are also a good source of several vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, B3 and iron.
Chia seeds are also packed with protein, fibre as wells as fats with an epic capacity to absorb whatever you soak them in. This makes them pretty good for fuelling an active lifestyle, through the slow-release of energy.
The calcium and magnesium content of chia seeds also make them a great post-workout snack, aiding your recovery.
How To Use Chia Seeds
When I didn’t know what to do with chia seeds, I reached out on Twitter to get some ideas:
What can I do with chia seeds?! Ideas on a stamp please 🙂

…and the responses I got were super useful.

Off I went, straight down to the kitchen and threw my chia seeds in a bowl with some soya milk for the night. The next morning, I realised I should have followed the instructions to stir well but a minute or two of good stirring soon put that right.
I added some desiccated coconut, cocoa powder and some dried fruits and was surprised at a) how easy it was to make this chia pudding and b) how delicious something so simple could taste.

It was Kaitlin who shared this recipe (and above image with me). She contributed a number of great recipes – including this epic raw snickers bar recipe – to the blog which I often still use to this day.
Typically when I make chia pudding, I made 4 servings in one go – in separate containers – and store them in the fridge so breakfast is pre-made for a couple of days after too.

One great thing about chia pudding is that you can use literally anything as a topping! My favourite options are fresh fruit for some extra sweetness and some nuts for added texture.
Have you got a favourite chia pudding topping?!
