Wondering what booking platform and payment system you can use to list your online fitness classes or on-demand workouts? We tested Fitune, so you don’t have to! Read our Fitune review from Eliza…
In 2020, I tried out 3 health and fitness platforms in the hope I’d be more organised and to make it easier for participants to book into my classes.
The first was fantastic, but expensive and had limited functionality. Plus, there was an issue with embedding their widget into my website and even though they’d apparently been ‘working on it’ for 6 weeks, they didn’t seem that interested in helping.
The second was also very specific, being solely an on-demand workout library, but it wasn’t managed well at all and communications were appalling.
And then I came across Fitune, after Koen, one of the founders, sent me an email about the platform.
Getting Started With Fitune
Feeling slightly sore due to all the time I’d put into personalising the prior platforms, poor Koen got a good grilling on the phone about the business. I wanted to make sure this was definitely THE platform for me.
What was in the functionality pipeline? Can this be done? What if I have a new feature request? How does XX work?
Finally satisfied, I decided to give Fitune a go – there’s an initial free trial which I planned to make the most of.
Like any new platform, it takes a while to get used to, but most of it is fairly easy to work out and while I hit a few stumbling blocks, it didn’t take me long before I had something I was ready to publish to my website.

How Much Does Fitune Cost?
Here is a break down of the costs of Fitune – there are two parts to this:
- Your monthly platform cost – basic $12.95, standard $39.95 and premium $65. If you pay yearly, your monthly costs drop by up to 40%.
- Your storage cost – you’ll only need this if you want to upload workout videos to their server. Otherwise, paste in YouTube links to show your workout.
Fitune Discount Code
If you do decide to give Fitune a try for yourself, apply the code ‘SIMPELLE’ at checkout for an exclusive lifetime discount of 20% on all plans plus a 1-month free trial.
What’s Included In The Fitune Basic Plan?
I’m currently on the Basic options which gives me unlimited bookings, unlimited activities / classes / events, unlimited venues and locations, subscriptions / packs and one-off payments, ability to schedule in-person sessions and live streams, set up on-demand videos, embed it into my website and basic customisation of my page.
This also only allows me to have 30 active members (30 users who have booked or signed up that month – I could have 1000 users but unless more than 30 book into classes, I’m still within the Basic package).

Fitune Standard And Premium Plans
The other packages will allow you to set up an online shop to sell digital and physical goods and you’ll have more customisation of your website.
How Easy Is Fitune To Work With?
One thing I’ve been impressed with is Fitune’s customer service.
Since September 2020 and now (that’s 5 months), I’ve emailed Koen approximately 80 times. He’s replied to every single email, and very often within hours, rather than days.
Fitune’s team also helped me work out why the timetable widget wasn’t working when I embedded it. However, they managed to sort this in days and I was kept updated the whole time. As a customer, I felt valued.
They also have a ‘Request Feature’ section so if there’s something you’d love to see on the platform, just send over your request.
My Fitune Experience
Fitune has been a great solution for me – combining the booking system I wanted, along with an on-demand library. It’s been easier for me to start building a more solid business, incorporating memberships, as well as one-off bookings.
I am also going to start adding my PT sessions on Fitune too. This will allow clients to sign up for rolling monthly sessions, rather than buying a pack of sessions (which I then have to keep track of).

Pros and Cons of Fitune
Pros
Great customer service. The team are fantastic at replying to your questions and are always eager to help solve your problems.
Ideal for online business. They know what people want and right now, there’s a need to have a Covid-secure business. For many, this means online offerings through their Zoom integration (you can use other platforms for live classes) and on-demand library.
There was only one widget code you can embed. Previously, while you could change which sections you enable your customers to see for the whole widget, if you are offering on-demand workouts and a schedule of classes, customers needed to be aware that they have to use the tabs at the top to access the different areas. However, this recently was updated and now page-specific embeds are available!
Cons
Better on-demand insights would be helpful. Currently, the reporting dashboard has everything a business needs to see, but I’d love to see how many times the workouts in the on-demand library have been viewed. This for me, would provide really useful insight into which workouts I need to promote, or do more of.
Is Fitune Right For You?
If you’re a fitness professional or small business who’s after a way of streamlining your business, Fitune is a great solution.
They’re incredibly responsive, open to suggestions (although most of the time, they’ve already got it in the pipeline) and are dedicated to making it work. And this means making it work for you.
I feel confident that if I have an issue, the Fitune team will help solve it, or provide a workaround to help you manage and grow your business.
