Back in October, I shared with you that I would be taking part in the Perfect7 Challenge with Seven Seas. Here’s a quick recap (or you can watch the video and read the post):
Seven Seas Perfect7 conducted some research and identified 7 healthy habits of younger looking people –
1.ย They drank more than 2 litres of water a day
4.ย They drank less alcoholย
5.ย They ate less refined sugarย
6.ย They ate high levels of fruit and vegetablesย
7.ย They had a positive attitude
They tasked 7 bloggers to take onย ONEย of the habits over 7 weeks and share our journey! My new habit will be to consume two or more portions of oily fish each week during the 7 weeks. During this time, we’ll also be taking the Perfect7 Woman Supplement.ย
The plan was to keep a “skin diary” and a little log of the food (especially which oily fish) that I consume.ย
Although I focused on one lifestyle change, I feel like a few of the others apply to me anyway as I don’t smoke, I don’t drink much and I like to think I have a positive attitude etc. I think that combining all of these changes would have the most impact in terms of results.ย
ย Before I go, maybe you’re thinking you’d like to try this for yourself?! So I’m offering one person the chance to WIN 6 months supply of the Seven Seas Perfect7 Supplements to take on their own challenge as week 4 (and the final week!) of my advent series!

What skin issues, if any, do you suffer with?! What are your skincare secrets?!

I am surprised that sleep is not on the list! That definitely make a difference for me.
That is quite true Laureen!! I think a lack of sleep also indirectly affects skin in that if you don't get enough, you are more likely to hit the caffeine, and make bad food choices! …so much going on behind the scenes, eh?!
Great post. I'll definitely keep this list in mind xx
Thanks Joana! xxx
I feel like my skin has gone downhill since moving to London but I think not having a tan and the sun has seriously affected it…or my tan hid it. lol
You're not the first person to have said that about London!! I'm starting to think it may be part of my problem! My skin was no problem before I moved to the UK!! I know part of it is genetic but at the same time, I'm 31, I didn't expect to be battling this at my age! haha!
I need to drink more water. I drink lots but not enough every day.
me too ๐
From all the 7 items, I don't do 2 of them. Drink enough water – but I want to do that (maybe that can be my next challenge) and eat fish (I'm a vegetarian, but I eat seafood once in a while). After I switched to a healthy lifestyle one year ago, my skin was among the first things to change. And now I have breakouts every time I have sugary things. Dairy also affects my skin so I try not to eat too much.
I am lactose intolerant but I do still consume dairy every now and again and I think this could be affecting my skin. I also think refined sugars are not great, or greasy food – I usually get some extra spots after a greasy burger or pizza! haha! I defo need to also focus on drinking more water!
