This quick and nutritious breakfast smoothie recipe is packed full of vitamins and antioxidants using ingredients you probably have stored in your fridge and freezer!
I’m not sure how long you’ve been hanging around this corner of the internet, but if it’s been a while, you might remember my little events business that I started back in 2015 (I think) – Borrow My Blender (BMB). I launched the business through The Princes Trust who helped me write my business plan and get everything off the ground.
I had so much fun running that little side hustle and popped up at events for Puma (see image above), lululemon, Arc’teryx, Bella Kinesis, Natures Plus, The Sports Edit and more! Then, in 2017 I started my MSc and something had to give. Sadly, that something was BMB. By that time, brands who had a product to go with the service (like Neat Nutrition) were catching on so the business model would have needed to evolve eventually.
During my studies, I toyed with what the rebrand would look like but ultimately, in the dead time between Christmas and the New Year, I decided to just wipe the slate clean and start over again… when I decide what the “next thing” will look like. So Borrow My Blender is no more.
As I was looking through the old website and social channels, I figured I might as well share some of the recipes over here on keep it simpElle as it would be a shame for them to go to waste. I kinda crowned myself the smoothie queen and I’d like to think that anyone who tried one of my smoothies loved them so I’ll share some of my favourites from some of the pop up events.
First up is one of my all time favourites… a classic in my repertoire which probably saw itself offered under various names to serve the occasion.

What Makes This Smoothie So Good?
This breakfast smoothie is packed full of anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, hydrating properties that will give you a healthy complexion.
Bananas have heaps of nutrients like potassium which hydrates the skin, Zinc which fights blemishes and Vitamin A which helps to fade dark spots and acne scars.
Remember when you were a kid and would take an oatmeal bath if you had chicken pox? This is because oats are heavy in antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties which treat dry and itchy skin.
