This pineapple smoothie with coconut milk is like a bowl of sunshine. Start your morning off with some Piña Colada on the beach vibes. No risk of a hangover though… let me show you how to make a Pina Colada smoothie without alcohol!

Depending on when and where you are when you come across this post, it could be the depths of Winter or the height of Summer. Either way, no one is gonna turn down sunshine in a bowl in the form of a smoothie right?!
I created this smoothie recipe for an event I popped up at, as Borrow My Blender, for Nature’s Plus. They were launching some new protein products (no longer readily available in the UK) including pea protein and wanted some smoothies created to show off the products.
In my experience, pea protein has a very distinctive taste which can be quite hard to cover up so I was very proud of myself to come up with a recipe that tasted like a day on the beach! The smoothies were served in cute jars and this pineapple and coconut based recipe was garnished with fresh pineapple and a glazed cherry on a cocktail stick (the picture is further down in the post!).
If you’re looking for a recipe to help you get through a massive tub of pea protein, then you’re in the right place. I’ve built up quite a collection of smoothie recipes on the blog too – scroll down for more inspiration. You can also swap the Nature’s Plus pea protein out for whatever variety you have in your kitchen cupboard!
