This gold coloured smoothie is packed full of mango, turmeric and chia seeds, then topped off with bee pollen. A fruity recipe perfect for reducing inflammation and strengthening your immune system!

One thing I realised about my smoothie pop up for events – Borrow My Blender (BMB) – was that it was very seasonal. Smoothies were a godsend in the summer months after a tough sweaty workout but come the colder months they weren’t as popular.
So trying to figure out a different revenue stream for the business when events died down was always a challenge. I had started to work on the website and tried to always share the recipes on there as a way to create content which would drive traffic, affiliate sales and advertising revenue.
And the BMB website did alright for such a small business. The website is probably the one thing I will miss the most now BMB officially no longer exists but I’m lucky that all the recipes are a great fit for keep it simpElle so I will share as many of them as I can salvage from the BMB social channels, website and archives.
This recipe is an amazing looking and tasting smoothie made with mango turmeric, chia seeds and topped with bee pollen for an extra superfood boost. I devised it to meet the brief for a Puma launch event I popped up at.

Bee Pollen ?
The ⭐️ of the show for this event, bee pollen contains vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, lipids, and protein. It comes from the pollen that collects on the bodies of bees. Sprinkle on your smoothie, yoghurt and cereal or include in a trail mix granola for energy on the go.
Benefits of Turmeric (Curcumin)
Curcumin is a bright yellow chemical (curcuminoid) used for centuries in the Eastern world in cooking and medicinally. Curcumin is the active ingredient found in turmeric. You can supplement curcumin into your diet in order to get the 500-1000mg per day reported that you need to see the benefits. Generally, you’ll get around 200mg in each teaspoon of turmeric so drink up peeps!

You can even make this into a mango smoothie bowl if you want (but I have a mango smoothie bowl recipe on the way!) topped with things like granola, cacao nibs, coconut chips, kiwi or coconut yoghurt.
