Having just completed a 25 hour team cycling race, I don’t think that the topic of rest and recovery could be anymore pertinent. I’ve been enjoying a few days of reduced activity levels, while ensuring I eat well and hydrate.
Last weekend, I took part in Red Bull Timelaps, am event I first did in 2019 and I’m sure I’ll do again. This year was of course very different – being completely virtual. I’ll write up my experience of the weekend in due course, but until then, I have my latest podcast feature to share with you.
If you’ve been to one of my classes before, or have been keeping up with the blog, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of magnesium. I got to try out the Bioglan Magnesium range when it launched and even created a post run stretch and recovery guide in collaboration with them which you can get a free copy of here on the blog.
Health Unwrapped Podcast from Bioglan
Here’s what they said about the episode…
In this episode of Health Unwrapped we have a good old chin wag with Fitness Pro Elle Linton.
Elle has been championing exercising from home during the pandemic and coming up with innovative ways to keep her audience entertained including her popular ‘Rolling with my Foamies’ session.
We talk about the importance of recovery as Elle explains how she looks after herself, gives great tips for staying motivated during the winter months, highlights the importance of sleep and she and talks us through the supplements she uses.
The episode is just 22 minutes long so pop the kettle on, grab a cuppa and have a listen.
Alternatively, if you’re a runner, add it to your playlist. And talking of running, I’ll be getting back on track with Couch to 5k, so if you’re wanting to start running or restart too, check out my Couch to 5k Bingo Challenge. it officially starts on Sunday 1st November but you can join in at any point for the challenge or do it on your own.
If we’ve not met before, here’s a little introduction from my recent feature in the Vuelio Top 10 Running Blogs:
Elle is also a favourite in all-round fitness circles, blogging about general keep-fit fun alongside running (Elle also happens to be one of our Top 10 UK Fitness & Exercise bloggers).
This blogger and fitness pro aims to provide ‘the professional insight into health and fitness that we all need’, which means simple and straight-forward advice and ideas for those who enjoy keeping active or want to know more about the fitness industry (‘the jobs, the businesses, the technology… or just behind the scenes’) itself.
